Dolphins pull game two upset behind O’Leary’s masterpiece to improve to 12-17, 5-9 Skyline Conference
4/29/2006 - Just because the Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team has been eliminated from the Skyline Conference playoffs doesn’t mean that there isn’t something to play for. Sporting one of the youngest rosters in the Conference, the 2006 has been a year of “almosts” for the Mount. They almost upset Stevens early in the season, and gave playoff-bound Manhattanville and Centenary runs for their money as the season moved along. But Saturday proved just how good the Dolphin team can be … and perhaps how good they will be as their vaunted sophomore class turns into juniors. More...

4/26/2006 - After a thrilling doubleheader split with Old Westbury on Tuesday night, Wednesday brought with it a trip to John Jay to face one of the top teams in the CUNY Conference for the Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team. The good news was that the Mount Saint Vincent bats exploded. The Dolphins pounded out 15 hits and scored five times during their biggest offensive day since a 7-5 loss to Western Connecticut on April 6. The bad news was that the John Jay bats were hot as well, as the Bloodhounds scored 10 times on 12 hits and dropped the Mount to 12-16 for the 2006 season with a 10-5 loss. More...

4/25/2006 - Despite a 16-day layoff that encompassed the Easter Holiday Weekend and three consecutive rain-outs, the Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team finally returned to the diamond on Tuesday when they traveled to Old Westbury for a Skyline Conference twin-bill. And while the Mount Saint Vincent bats may have been a little rusty from the lay-off, their pitching arms were not and the resulting split proved once again that the young Mount team can compete with the upper echelon of a parity-laden Skyline Conference. The Dolphins dropped the opener, 8-0 but then rebounded for a thrilling 3-0 win in the night-cap that improved the Mount to 12-15 overall and 4-8 in Skyline play. More...

Dolphins hit .132 during four games, commit 12 errors; travel to NJCU on Tuesday
3/27/2006 - The opening weekend of Skyline Conference Baseball play proved two things to a young Mount Saint Vincent squad: They have what it takes to compete with the Conference’s elite, however without clutch hitting and solid defense, the Skyline is a very difficult Conference to win. During doubleheader sweeps at the hands of Centenary College on Saturday and Manhattanville on Sunday, Mount Saint Vincent proved to be right up there with two teams expected to compete for the Skyline Conference crown in May, but costly blunders on the field and at the plate ultimately did the Mount in.
