5/12/2008 - The
College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team
has received the 2008 Skyline Conference Team Sportsmanship
Award it was announced on Monday morning. The squad becomes
the second Mount Saint Vincent team to earn the honor this
spring, joining the softball team.
5/12/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Baseball team’s season came to a close
on Saturday with a 5-0 loss at Richard Stockton in the ECAC
Metro Division Tournament. Senior Ryan Strub
(Bohemia, NY) fired 7.0 strong innings for the
Mount, while Zach Munroe (Milford, CT) and
James Labartino (Hobrook, NY) recorded the
only base hits for the Dolphins.
5/10/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Department of Athletics held its annual
Varsity Awards Banquet in Smith Hall on Saturday afternoon.
At the event each team handed out its respective awards and
four student-athletes received department wide honors for
dedication, school spirit and academic excellence. Senior
baseball player Logan Mauzy (Homer, NY)
received the Chuck Mancuso Dedication Award, while
sophomore tennis and lacrosse player Karen Laurent
(East Elmhurst, NY) was honored with the Sister
Magdalen Horsting Spirit Award. Cyndi Adams
(Mechanicsville, MD) and Jason Salute
(Bronx, NY) were also honored with Senior Scholar
Athlete Awards. 
5/8/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Baseball team dropped a tough 4-3 decision at
Ramapo on Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the
ECAC Division III Metro Tournament. Senior Al Schor
(Norwalk, CT) drove in a pair of runs for the
Mount and Corey Kirsh (East Meadow, NY)
worked 7.1 effective innings for the Dolphins.
5/8/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Softball team’s season came to an end
on Wednesday evening with a heartbreaking 2-1 loss at
Baruch in the first round of the ECAC Division III Metro
Tournament. Sophomore Megan Gonzalez (Fishers,
IN) pitched six strong innings for the Mount, but
the Dolphins were held to just three hits in the contest.
5/7/2008 - A pair of Mount Saint
Vincent athletic teams will compete in their respective
ECAC Division III Metro Division Tournaments on Wednesday.
Baseball will open play as the third seed and travel to
second seeded Ramapo, while the fifth seeded softball team
will take on fourth seeded Baruch at the College of Staten

5/6/2008 - College of
Mount Saint Vincent senior pitcher Jon
O’Leary (Bohemia, NY) has been named
Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Week it was announced on
Tuesday afternoon. O’Leary helped Mount Saint Vincent
to the league championship round by going 2-0 with a
shutout in the Skyline Conference Tournament.
5/5/2008 - College of Mount Saint
Vincent freshman Michael Pope (Massapequa,
NY) has been named the Skyline Conference Baseball
Rookie of the Year it was announced on Monday afternoon.
Three other Dolphins received all-league recognition, as
Tanner and Zach Munroe (Milford,
CT) were named All-Skyline Conference First Team
and Pope and Joe Blackford (Stewartsville,
NJ) were named Second Team All-Skyline Conference.

College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore outfielder
Lisa O’Shea (White Plains, NY)
has been named First Team All-Skyline Conference it
was announced Monday afternoon. O’Shea is
leading the Dolphins with a .384 batting average and
six home runs in 2008. In addition to
O’Shea’s honor, the Mount Saint Vincent
Softball team earned the Skyline Conference Team
Sportsmanship Award. 
5/5/2008 - Eight Members of
the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s
Lacrosse team have been honored with All-Skyline
accolades it has been announced by the league office.
Sophomore Kelly Martin (Stony Point,
NY) was named First Team All-Skyline
Conference, while seven other members of the team were
named Second Team All-Skyline Conference.
5/4/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Baseball team forced the play back game in
the Skyline Conference Tournament on Sunday afternoon, but
was downed in the second game by Farmingdale State for the
Skyline Championship. The Dolphins forced the second game
with a 1-0 win in the game one, but were downed by the Rams
8-4 in the second game. Senior Eddie Park (East
Meadow, NY) drove in the game winner after being
hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
4/27/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team closed out the 2008
season with a convincing 16-5 victory at Mitchell on
Sunday. Senior Jason Reynolds (Centereach,
NY) closed out his career with a six point game,
scoring five goals and adding an assist.
4/27/2008 - The
College of Mount Saint Vincent Softball squad split a
Skyline Conference doubleheader with Old Westbury on
Sunday afternoon, dropping game one 3-2 before coming
back for a 7-4 victory in game two. Karissa
Koerner (Bay Shore, NY) connected on a
two-run home run in game one and drove in three runs
in the game two win. 
4/26/2008 - The
College of Mount Saint Vincent Softball team was swept
by Skyline Conference rival Mount Saint Mary on
Saturday afternoon. The Dolphins fell by a score of
4-1 in the opener, before dropping a 6-5 heartbreaker
in eight innings in game two. In addition to pitching
14.2 innings over two games, Megan Gonzalez
(Fishers, IN) picked up a hit and an RBI in
each contest. 
4/26/2008 - Lauren
Perla (Holbrook, NY), Cyndi Adams (Mechanicsville,
MD) and Jessie Mitchell (Suffern,
NY) all scored three goals, but the College
of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Lacrosse team was
nipped by Kean 14-13 on Senior Day Saturday afternoon.
Following the game, Adams, Erin Davies (Islip,
NY), Marie Garcia (Medford, MA), Alexis Alessi
(Rockville Centre, NY), Cynthia Osorio (Oceanside,
NY) and Chanel Comis (Durham,
NC) were all honored for their commitment to
the program over the past four years.
4/26/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team was defeated on
Saturday by Kean by a score of 20-2. On senior day for the
Dolphins, Derek Charlton (Yonkers, NY), Tom Egan
(Nanuet, NY), James O’Connell (Elmont, NY), Stan Wong
(Merrick, NY) and Jason Reynolds
(Centereach, NY) were recognized following
the game. Egan, O’Connell, Wong and Reynolds are the
first four-year graduating class in program history.
4/23/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Baseball team set a program record for wins
in a season on Wednesday with a 4-2 win over Baruch. The
win gives the Mount 17 victories this season and eclipses
the previous mark for wins of 16 set in 2006. Nick
Triolo (Homer, NY) fired eight strong innings in
the win, while Josh Cuozzo (Westbury, NY)
finished with two hits and a pair of RBI.
4/23/2008 - The College of
Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Lacrosse team
remained perfect in Skyline Conference play with a
hard fought 13-11 win over Farmingdale State on
Wednesday. Kelly Martin (Stony Point,
NY) and Cyndi Adams (Mechanicsville,
MD) led the Mount to victory, each scoring
four goals and adding an assist.
4/22/2008 - College of Mount Saint
Vincent freshman Michael Pope (Massapequa,
NY) has been named the Skyline Conference Baseball
Rookie of the Week it was announced on Monday evening. This
marks the first time in his career Pope has been honored
and the fourth time this season a member of the Dolphins
has been recognized with a weekly award.
4/22/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team was defeated in a
Skyline Conference contest at Montclair State on Monday
night by a score of 19-3. Ryan O’Dougherty
(Morristown, NJ) and Mike Shea (Congers,
NY) each scored a goal and added an assist for the
Dolphins. 
4/21/2008 - The College of Mount
Saint Vincent Baseball team swept a Skyline Conference
doubleheader at Purchase on Sunday afternoon by scores of
17-8 and 9-4. The sweep gives Mount Saint Vincent its third
straight win and its 10th win in 11 games. Eddie
Park (East Meadow, NY) had a big day for the
Dolphins, going 6-10 with five runs and four RBI in the
set.
