Requirements
A Minor in Fine Arts can be achieved by completing eighteen Fine Arts department credits. Core Fine Arts, Visual Art or Music, are not included in the eighteen credit configuration. Required for a Fine Arts Minor: a Minor contract (signed by the chair), Foundations of Design, one Photo course, either Designing in Clay or 3D Design, Studio Drawing, Computer Arts. (Substitutions, i.e. Painting, another photo course, Dance, etc., may be made only with the approval of the department chair.)

Students interested in both Fine Arts and another discipline may pursue both within a Liberal Arts major. This would require eighteen credits from Fine Arts and eighteen
credits from another discipline. Students registered in studio courses will be expected to pay fees indicated. All studio work is done on the Mount Saint Vincent campus.
Studio courses in fine arts aim to foster in students a sensitivity to the world around them and its implications for artistic interpretation. Students are encouraged to develop their potential for expressing, in visual terms, their own response to aesthetic, social, and crosscultural concerns.

Core Curriculum Requirement: ART210. This course is paired with the core history course. A Minor in Fine Arts can be achieved by completing eighteen Fine Arts department credits. Students seeking to minor in Fine Arts may do so only with the approval of the department chair. Students registered in studio courses will be expected to pay fees indicated. The Cooperative Program between the College of Mount Saint Vincent and Manhattan College enables students to take Art History on either campus. All studio work is done on the Mount Saint Vincent campus.
