11/5/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at fourth seeded Mount Saint Mary on Wednesday night in the quarterfinal round of the Skyline Conference Tournament. The Dolphins were defeated by set scores of 22-25, 17-25 and 21-25 by the Blue Knights. Freshman Kristine DeMasi (Bay Ridge, N.Y.) led the way for the Mount with a career and match-high 13 kills.
11/2/2009 - On October 31 the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team gathered for its first ever alumni game and to raise money for a very special cause. The Dolphins came together to connect with alumni and to help raise money for 2007 graduate Jessica Thorn who was diagnosed with a rare brain disease called Intracranial Hypertension.
10/31/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team was defeated twice on Friday night, falling to Centenary (N.J) 3-1 and at Baruch 3-0. The Dolphins were downed by the Cyclones by set scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-23 and 25-20 before falling to the host Bearcats by scores of 10-25, 18-25 and 19-25. Senior Tara Mead (Pearl River, N.Y.) led the Mount against Centenary with seven kills.
10/26/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team was defeated at Sage on Sunday afternoon by a score of 3-1 in its Skyline Conference finale. The Mount fell in the tightly contested match by set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 15-25 and 28-26. The Dolphins had four players in the match record career-highs, including Bridget Leonard (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) who handed out 33 assists.
10/21/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team posted an impressive 3-0 victory over St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn on Wednesday night. The Dolphins took the match by scores of 25-7, 25-13 and 25-11. Prior to the contest the department of athletics recognized Tara Mead (Pearl River, N.Y.), Lisa O’Shea (White Plains, N.Y.), Esmeralda Morales (Bronx, N.Y.) and Bridget Leonard (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) for their contributions to the program over the past four years.
10/20/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team will be in action five times this coming week, including its final home match of the season on Wednesday night. The Dolphins will honor their four seniors prior to the match on Wednesday and will also welcome Rock and Roll For A Cure, Inc. as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
10/14/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team won its third straight match and moved its record to 7-2 at home on Wednesday night with a 3-0 sweep of Medgar Evers at Hayes Gymnasium. The Dolphins topped the Cougars by set scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-14. Junior Irma Nepomuceno (Bronx, N.Y.) and sophomore Jessica Williams (Cornwall, N.Y.) led the offensive attack with eight kills each in the contest.
10/14/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team will look to climb above .500 overall on the season when it host Medgar Evers on Wednesday night. The Dolphins have won their past two matches and stand at 9-9 overall and 3-2 in Skyline Conference play.
10/10/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team snapped a two match losing streak with Skyline Conference wins over Farmingdale St. and Bard. The Dolphins won both matches by scores of 3-1, downing the Rams by set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 12-25 and 25-20 before defeating the Raptors by scores of 25-23, 25-14, 24-26 and 25-19.
10/6/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team will play a non-conference road match at the City College of New York on Tuesday night, before traveling to Farmingdale, N.Y. on Saturday to take on Skyline Conference rivals Farmingdale St. and Bard. The Dolphins stand at 7-8 overall on the season and 1-2 in Skyline Conference play.
9/29/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team got back to the .500 mark overall on the season with a hard fought 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence on Tuesday night. The Dolphins took the match by set scores of 25-8, 25-23 and 28-26. A trio of Dolphins reached career-highs in the match, including Caryl Garcia (Yonkers, N.Y.) who recorded 23 digs.
9/11/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team won its third straight match on Wednesday night, as it cruised past York (NY) by a score of 3-0. Scores of the sets went 25-18, 25-14 and 25-19 in favor of the Dolphins. Bridget Leonard (Poughkeepsie, NY) had a strong match for the Mount, posting 12 assists and six service aces in the win.
9/8/2008 - College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore Christina Pierre (Bronx, NY) has been named the Skyline Conference Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday evening. Pierre posted 32 kills over four matches at the Old Westbury Panther Invitational on her way to being named to the All-Tournament Team.
11/13/2007 - College of Mount Saint Vincent seniors Meghan Flaherty (Yonkers, NY) and Edeana Martinez (Bronx, NY) have been named Second Team All-Skyline Conference it was announced on Tuesday morning. The tandem led the Mount to its first ever Skyline Tournament berth in 2007 as the sixth seed.
11/3/2007 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team advanced to the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference Championship match with a 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence in the semifinals, but fell to St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn 3-0 in the title match. The Dolphins topped Sarah Lawrence 30-20, 30-11, 30-17, but fell to the Lady Bears by scores of 12-30, 16-30, and 20-30. Senior Meghan Flaherty (Yonkers, NY) combined for 19 kills over the two matches to lead Mount Saint Vincent.
10/25/2007 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team scored a 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence on Thursday night on Senior Night. Scores of the match were 30-22, 30-16, and 30-9 in favor of the Dolphins. Senior Meghan Flaherty (Yonkers, NY) led the team with 13 kills in her final home regular season match.
