Sophomore libero ninth in country in digs per set
11/9/2009 - College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore libero Renee Reynes (Bronx, N.Y.) has been named a Second Team All-Skyline Conference selection it was announced on Monday afternoon. Reynes finished the 2009 season ranked ninth in the country in digs per set.
DeMasi finishes with career-high 13 kills
11/5/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at fourth seeded Mount Saint Mary on Wednesday night in the quarterfinal round of the Skyline Conference Tournament. The Dolphins were defeated by set scores of 22-25, 17-25 and 21-25 by the Blue Knights. Freshman Kristine DeMasi (Bay Ridge, N.Y.) led the way for the Mount with a career and match-high 13 kills.
Dolphins raise funds for The Intracranial Hypertension Research Foundation
11/2/2009 - On October 31 the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team gathered for its first ever alumni game and to raise money for a very special cause. The Dolphins came together to connect with alumni and to help raise money for 2007 graduate Jessica Thorn who was diagnosed with a rare brain disease called Intracranial Hypertension.

10/31/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team was defeated twice on Friday night, falling to Centenary (N.J) 3-1 and at Baruch 3-0. The Dolphins were downed by the Cyclones by set scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-23 and 25-20 before falling to the host Bearcats by scores of 10-25, 18-25 and 19-25. Senior Tara Mead (Pearl River, N.Y.) led the Mount against Centenary with seven kills.

10/26/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team was defeated at Sage on Sunday afternoon by a score of 3-1 in its Skyline Conference finale. The Mount fell in the tightly contested match by set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 15-25 and 28-26. The Dolphins had four players in the match record career-highs, including Bridget Leonard (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) who handed out 33 assists.

10/21/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team posted an impressive 3-0 victory over St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn on Wednesday night. The Dolphins took the match by scores of 25-7, 25-13 and 25-11. Prior to the contest the department of athletics recognized Tara Mead (Pearl River, N.Y.), Lisa O’Shea (White Plains, N.Y.), Esmeralda Morales (Bronx, N.Y.) and Bridget Leonard (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) for their contributions to the program over the past four years.

10/20/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team will be in action five times this coming week, including its final home match of the season on Wednesday night. The Dolphins will honor their four seniors prior to the match on Wednesday and will also welcome Rock and Roll For A Cure, Inc. as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

10/14/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team won its third straight match and moved its record to 7-2 at home on Wednesday night with a 3-0 sweep of Medgar Evers at Hayes Gymnasium. The Dolphins topped the Cougars by set scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-14. Junior Irma Nepomuceno (Bronx, N.Y.) and sophomore Jessica Williams (Cornwall, N.Y.) led the offensive attack with eight kills each in the contest.

10/14/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team will look to climb above .500 overall on the season when it host Medgar Evers on Wednesday night. The Dolphins have won their past two matches and stand at 9-9 overall and 3-2 in Skyline Conference play.

10/10/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team snapped a two match losing streak with Skyline Conference wins over Farmingdale St. and Bard. The Dolphins won both matches by scores of 3-1, downing the Rams by set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 12-25 and 25-20 before defeating the Raptors by scores of 25-23, 25-14, 24-26 and 25-19.

The Dolphins were defeated in the contest by set scores of 8-25, 19-25 and 13-25. Junior Irma Nepomuceno (Bronx, N.Y.) finished with three kills, while classmate Caryl Garcia (Bronx, N.Y.) posted a team-high five digs.

9/1/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team will open the 2009 season on Tuesday night with a home match against Yeshiva at 8:00 p.m. The match will mark the first time the two programs will meet head-to-head as Yeshiva is in just its second year as a varsity program.

8/10/2009 - College of Mount Saint Vincent Head Women’s Volleyball Coach Rosanna Falcher released the team’s 2009 game schedule on Monday morning. The slate features 10 home matches and a trip to the Grinnell (Iowa) Tournament for matches on September 11 and 12. The season gets under way on Tuesday, September 1 when the Dolphins host Yeshiva.

10/27/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball squad dropped a pair of Skyline Conference matches on Sunday afternoon at Bard College. The Dolphins were defeated by the host Raptors 3-2 and also by Polytechnic 3-0. Scores of the Bard match were 27-25, 28-30, 25-22, 22-25 and 10-15 against the Mount, while the Polytechnic match went 19-25, 17-25 and 22-25 also against the Dolphins. Sophomore Christina Pierre (Bronx, NY) had a strong day for the Mount, finishing the two matches with 26 kills.

10/2/2008 - Freshman Jessica Williams (Cornwall, NY) was one of two players to record double digit kills as the Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team defeated Staten Island 3-0 on Thursday night. Scores of the sets were 25-12, 25-17 and 25-20 in favor of the Mount. Williams’ 13 kills were at match-high as the Dolphins ran their winning streak to four matches.

Scores of the sets were 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 22-25, and 15-11 in favor of the Dolphins. Lisa O’Shea (White Plains, NY) had a strong match for the Mount, as she finished the day with 12 kills and 20 digs.

9/8/2008 - College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore Christina Pierre (Bronx, NY) has been named the Skyline Conference Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday evening. Pierre posted 32 kills over four matches at the Old Westbury Panther Invitational on her way to being named to the All-Tournament Team.

11/13/2007 - College of Mount Saint Vincent seniors Meghan Flaherty (Yonkers, NY) and Edeana Martinez (Bronx, NY) have been named Second Team All-Skyline Conference it was announced on Tuesday morning. The tandem led the Mount to its first ever Skyline Tournament berth in 2007 as the sixth seed.

11/3/2007 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team advanced to the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference Championship match with a 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence in the semifinals, but fell to St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn 3-0 in the title match. The Dolphins topped Sarah Lawrence 30-20, 30-11, 30-17, but fell to the Lady Bears by scores of 12-30, 16-30, and 20-30. Senior Meghan Flaherty (Yonkers, NY) combined for 19 kills over the two matches to lead Mount Saint Vincent.

10/15/2007 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball squad split a pair of Skyline Conference matches on Saturday at St. Joseph’s-Long Island. The Dolphins topped the host Golden Eagles by scores of 20-30, 30-28, 30-28, and 30-16, but fell to Farmingdale State by scores of 30-26, 17-30, 16-30, and 22-30. Meghan Flaherty (Yonkers, NY) was one of five Dolphins to finish the day with at least 10 kills, posting a team high 19 over the two contests.
