9/21/2007 - College of Mount Saint Vincent Director of Athletics Cathy Ingram has announced the hiring of Natalie Smith as the new Head Women’s Soccer coach and Tina Prickett as the program’s new assistant coach. Smith comes to Riverdale after graduating from Pomona College in Claremont, CA in 2006. Prickett joins the Dolphins after serving at a Physical Trainer at the St. Alban Center in York, England. 11/28/2006 - Mount Saint Vincent Director of Athletics Cathy Ingram has announced that Tony Elmore, the College’s Head Women’s Soccer Coach during the last three seasons, has resigned his position effective immediately. In announcing Elmore’s resignation, Ingram cited his other professional responsibilities as the reason for the decision and that a search for a successor will begin immediately. 11/5/2006 - By the time the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer team realized what was going wrong during Sunday's Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Championship Game against the College of Staten Island, it was too late and the game was all but over ... even though there were still 84 minutes left to play. A fired up CSI team came out of the gate and scored three goals during the first 6:18 of play, and then their defense - led by Tournament MVP Tina Bellocchio, who made eight saves and did not allow a goal during the HVWAC playoffs - thwarted the Mount's desperate comeback effort as Staten Island won its first-ever HVWAC Tounament Championship with a 4-0 win over Mount Saint Vincent during a game played at CSI. 11/2/2006 - The more she develops as a veteran college soccer player, the more it is becoming clear that Jamie Longo (Concord, MA/Concord-Carlisle HS) will one day be remembered as one of the great big-game performers in Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer history. For the second time this season, the Mount hosted Medgar Evers on Thursday, but this time the stakes were higher as the game was the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Semifinals. And for the second time this season, the game went into overtime ... in fact, it went into a second overtime. And for the second time this season, it was Longo's heroics that sent the Dolphins home happy as her magic touch struck again. Longo's second goal of the game, just over two minutes into the second overtime, gave Mount Saint Vincent a dramatic 2-1 and sent the Mount to the HVWAC Championship Game to be played this Sunday against top-seeded College of Staten Island at CSI.
