THE COLLEGE OF MOUNT SAINT VINCENT IS PLEASED TO OFFER A SEMESTER OF STUDY IN NEW YORK CITY.

Qualified students are eligible for extraordinary internships, independent research with a faculty mentor, and courses of special interest across the College.  The College also offers New York Now, an interdisciplinary course that studies the City and introduces students to historic sites, vibrant neighborhoods, cultural institutions, and notable places.

The College of Mount Saint Vincent is located on 70 acres overlooking the Hudson River in the Riverdale section of New York City. The landmark buildings on a wooded campus provide an elegant and safe setting for students to study while enjoying access to all of New York.  Mount Saint Vincent is a liberal arts college in the Catholic tradition and has strong academic programs, including Business, Communication and Education.  Come to New York City, and see the view from The Mount.

Admission:  

  • The Semester in NYC is open to any current Junior or Senior student in good academic standing.
  • Prospective students must submit an application for admission, current college transcript, 1 faculty recommendation and have an interview (phone if convenient).

Cost:

  • 18,000 for the Spring 2010 semester
  • A limited number of scholarships are available

Housing and Transportation:

  • Students will be housed on our Riverdale, New York campus in our newly renovated dormitories. Our Riverdale Campus is located on the Hudson River just 12 miles from Midtown Manhattan.
  • Students will have easy access to New York City. Our campus shuttle will take you to the subway and then it’s a 20 minute ride to Manhattan.
