5/24/2010 - College of Mount Saint Vincent baseball player John McManus (Queens, N.Y.) has been named Second Team All-New York Region it was announced on Sunday night. McManus led the Dolphins in batting during the 2010 season with a .414 average and set the single season program record for home runs with his seven round trippers.
5/24/2010 - College of Mount Saint Vincent junior centerfielder James Labartino (Holbrook, N.Y.) has earned a New York Region ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award it was announced on Sunday night. Labartino was a First Team All-Skyline Conference selection in 2010 after hitting .346 and he also recorded a .990 fielding percentage.
5/3/2010 - Three College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball players were honored with All-Skyline recognition on Monday afternoon with two players being named to the conference’s First Team. Juniors Mike Pope (Massapequa, N.Y.) and James Labartino (Holbrook, N.Y.) were named First Team All-Skyline Conference and classmate John McManus (Queens, N.Y.) was a Second Team All-League selection.
4/28/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team was defeated on Wednesday night at Old Westbury in the Skyline Conference Tournament by a score of 2-1 in 10 innings. Freshman James Puma (Thornwood, N.Y.) worked 8.0 strong innings for the Dolphins on the night and junior John McManus (Queens, N.Y.) drove in the Mount’s only run.
4/19/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team lost both ends of a key Skyline Conference doubleheader on Monday, falling in game one by a score of 5-2 and then in a well pitched 3-0 decision in the nightcap. Junior Mike Trainor (Patterson, N.Y.) worked his second straight complete game in the opener, while rookie James Puma (Thornwood, N.Y.) worked 7.0 effective innings in game two.
4/18/2010 - Several programs records were set on Sunday as the College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team swept a league set from NYU-POLY. In the Dolphins’ 21-5 game one win senior Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, N.J.) became the program’s all-time hit leader with his 145th safety and junior John McManus (Queens, N.Y.) hit his eighth career home run which matched the career record at the Mount in a 12-6 game two victory. In addition freshman Kevin Coogan (Bronx, N.Y.) hit for the program’s first cycle in game one.

4/14/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team dropped its second straight non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon, falling 15-0 at #22 Kean. Sophomore Christian Lavery (Westbury, N.Y.) and junior Mike Pope (Massapequa, N.Y.) each picked up a pair of hits and combined for four of the Mount’s five on the day.
4/12/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team got a pair of complete game wins from its starters on Sunday as it cruised to a doubleheader sweep of Yeshiva. Sophomore Anthony Mongelli (Flushing, N.Y.) fired a complete game shutout in a 10-0 game one victory and rookie Mike McManus (Queens, N.Y.) followed that up with a complete game five hitter in a 14-1 triumph in the nightcap.
4/5/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team was upended in a non-conference contest at Stevens Monday night by a score of 26-0. The Dolphins recorded just three hits on the night, with senior Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, N.J.) connecting on a double in the seventh inning.
3/31/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team’s non-conference game at Lehman scheduled for Wednesday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m. has been postponed due to poor field conditions as a result of heavy rain over the past several days. No makeup date with the Lightning has been announced at this time.
3/29/2010 - College of Mount Saint Vincent freshman outfielder Kevin Coogan (Bronx, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week it was announced on Monday evening. It marks the first time in Coogan’s career he has been honored by the league and the third time this season a Mount Saint Vincent player has been recognized.
3/18/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team snapped a five game losing streak and ended its trip to Florida with a big 12-2 win over Bethany on Thursday morning. Four Dolphins recorded at least two hits in the contest, with sophomore Mike Lucre (Queens, N.Y.) collecting three to go along with four RBI.
3/8/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team evened its overall record on Sunday afternoon with a doubleheader sweep of St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn at Baseball Heaven. The Dolphins came from behind to pick up a 15-14 extra inning win in game one and then powered past the Bears 21-5 to complete the sweep in game two. Junior captain John McManus knocked in six runs for the Mount in the second game.
5/19/2009 - College of Mount Saint Vincent junior baseball player Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, N.J.) has been named an ABCA/Rawlings Third Team All New York Region selection it was announced late Monday. Blackford was third on the team with a .372 batting average and also recorded five saves for the Mount.
5/19/2009 - A pair of College of Mount Saint Vincent senior baseball players were recognized with ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Awards it was announced late Monday night. Josh Cuozzo (Westbury, N.Y.) earned the honor for the New York Region at third base, while classmate Mike Ruckdaschel (East Meadow, N.Y.) took the award for the shortstops in the region.
5/4/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team will make its second straight ECAC Tournament when it travels to Stevens for the First Round of the 2009 ECAC Division III Metro Tournament on Wednesday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m.. The winner of the first round contest will move on to tangle with top-seeded Rutgers-Newark on Friday afternoon.
5/4/2009 - Two College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball players were named All-Skyline Conference it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Junior Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, N.J.) was named First Team All-Skyline Conference and Nick Triolo (Homer, N.Y.) has earned Second Team All-Skyline Conference honors.
4/27/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team closed out its conference schedule on Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader sweep at Maritime. The Dolphins won game one by a score of 11-5 and then completed the sweep with a 16-4 win in the second game. Senior Nick Triolo (Homer, N.Y.) had a strong day for the Dolphins, combining to go 5-7 with five runs scored and nine RBI over the two games.
4/22/2009 - Due to the threat of rain in the area and poor field conditions, the College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball game at New Jersey City University scheduled for April 22 at 3:30 p.m. has been postponed. No make up date has been announced at this time.
4/20/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team picked up an important Skyline Conference doubleheader sweep on Sunday afternoon at Mount Saint Mary. The Dolphins won game one 11-8 before taking game two 11-10 in nine innings. Sophomore James Labartino (Holbrook, N.Y.) collected six hits over the two games, including four in game one
3/30/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team ran its league winning streak to four games with a doubleheader sweep of Purchase on Sunday afternoon. The Mount took the first game 11-4 and completed the sweep with a 7-3 triumph in game two. Senior Corey Kirsh (East Meadow, N.Y.) fired a nine inning complete game in the first contest and sophomore Mike Trainor (Patterson, N.Y.) worked a seven inning complete game in game two.
3/3/2009 - Due to the snowstorm that passed through the area late Sunday through Monday the College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team’s season opener at #4/4 Kean scheduled for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed. No makeup date has been announced at this time.
5/12/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team’s season came to a close on Saturday with a 5-0 loss at Richard Stockton in the ECAC Metro Division Tournament. Senior Ryan Strub (Bohemia, NY) fired 7.0 strong innings for the Mount, while Zach Munroe (Milford, CT) and James Labartino (Hobrook, NY) recorded the only base hits for the Dolphins.
5/8/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team dropped a tough 4-3 decision at Ramapo on Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the ECAC Division III Metro Tournament. Senior Al Schor (Norwalk, CT) drove in a pair of runs for the Mount and Corey Kirsh (East Meadow, NY) worked 7.1 effective innings for the Dolphins.
5/7/2008 - A pair of Mount Saint Vincent athletic teams will compete in their respective ECAC Division III Metro Division Tournaments on Wednesday. Baseball will open play as the third seed and travel to second seeded Ramapo, while the fifth seeded softball team will take on fourth seeded Baruch at the College of Staten Island.
5/6/2008 - College of Mount Saint Vincent senior pitcher Jon O’Leary (Bohemia, NY) has been named Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Week it was announced on Tuesday afternoon. O’Leary helped Mount Saint Vincent to the league championship round by going 2-0 with a shutout in the Skyline Conference Tournament.
5/5/2008 - College of Mount Saint Vincent freshman Michael Pope (Massapequa, NY) has been named the Skyline Conference Baseball Rookie of the Year it was announced on Monday afternoon. Three other Dolphins received all-league recognition, as Tanner and Zach Munroe (Milford, CT) were named All-Skyline Conference First Team and Pope and Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, NJ) were named Second Team All-Skyline Conference.
5/4/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team forced the play back game in the Skyline Conference Tournament on Sunday afternoon, but was downed in the second game by Farmingdale State for the Skyline Championship. The Dolphins forced the second game with a 1-0 win in the game one, but were downed by the Rams 8-4 in the second game. Senior Eddie Park (East Meadow, NY) drove in the game winner after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
5/4/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team advanced to its first ever Skyline Conference Championship Round on Saturday with a 14-12 win over Mount Saint Mary and a 10-0 triumph over St. Joseph’s (LI). Freshman John McManus (Bayside, NY) led the offensive attack against the Mount Saint Mary with four hits and five RBI.
4/23/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team set a program record for wins in a season on Wednesday with a 4-2 win over Baruch. The win gives the Mount 17 victories this season and eclipses the previous mark for wins of 16 set in 2006. Nick Triolo (Homer, NY) fired eight strong innings in the win, while Josh Cuozzo (Westbury, NY) finished with two hits and a pair of RBI.
4/23/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team fell on the road at Centenary on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 8-4. Three Dolphins collected two hits each in the game, with Logan Mauzy (Homer, NY) going 2-5 with a home run. Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, NJ) and James Labartino (Holbrook, NY) also finished with two hits apiece.
4/22/2008 - College of Mount Saint Vincent freshman Michael Pope (Massapequa, NY) has been named the Skyline Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week it was announced on Monday evening. This marks the first time in his career Pope has been honored and the fourth time this season a member of the Dolphins has been recognized with a weekly award.
4/20/2008 - Junior Nick Triolo (Homer, NY) drove in the game winning run with a bases loaded walk and the College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team edged Stevens 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Tanner Munroe (Milford, CT) led the offensive charge with three hits and an RBI in the game.
4/11/2008 - Mount Saint Vincent’s game scheduled for Friday afternoon at #5 Cortland State has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The forecast in and around the area of Cortland, NY is calling for heavy rain throughout the day.
4/10/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team completed its sweep of Yeshiva on Wednesday night with a 22-0 win over the Maccabees. Mount Saint Vincent tied the program record for runs in a game on Wednesday. The Dolphins also posted 22 runs in a game on March 4, 2006 against Gallaudet. The Mount had 11 players record at least one hit in the contest, with Miguel Montano (Brooklyn, NY) leading the way with four.
4/8/2008 - College of Mount Saint Vincent senior Zach Munroe (Milford, CT) has been named the Skyline Conference Baseball Player of the Week it was announced Monday evening. Munroe hit .429 and went 1-0 on the mound for the Dolphins, who posted a 4-1 record in five games.
4/4/2008 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball program has announced time changes for its doubleheader on Saturday, April 5 at Old Westbury. The games scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. have been moved and will now start at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. due to inclement weather in the area.
3/5/2008 - Steve Macias’ College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team has been selected to finish fourth in the Skyline Conference Preseason Poll voted on by the league’s nine head coaches. The Dolphins received 43 points in the poll and are coming off a 2007 campaign that saw them finish 11-19 overall and 8-10 in the Skyline Conference.
