The College of Mount Saint Vincent

 The College of Mount Saint Vincent seeks applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor in the Communication Department beginning in August, 2009.  The position offers an excellent opportunity to join an exciting, newly revised program housed in recently renovated facilities.  The department stresses teaching, close engagement with students, an active role in advising, and other departmental activities.  The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in speech communication or communication studies (ABDs will be considered).   Candidates will teach in the department’s new Strategic and Human Communication concentration which emphasizes human communication, persuasive communication, and communication theory.  The candidate will teach introductory and advanced courses in several of the following areas: speech, interpersonal, intercultural, advertising, and public relations/writing.  An ability to teach Media Writing is a plus.
