Mount Saint Vincent’s Mike Shea Named ECAC Metro/South Player Of The Week
Sophomore attack posted 14 points over two games

Mike Shea picked up his second weekly honor after being named ECAC Player of the Week.
Centerville, Mass. – College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore Mike Shea (Congers, N.Y.) has been named the ECAC Metro/South Division Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week it was announced on Wednesday afternoon. This is the first ECAC honor that Shea has received in his career.

Shea helped the Dolphins to a 2-0 weekend by posting 14 points over the two games. He scored five goals and added three assists for eight points in a 21-7 win at St. Joseph’s College of Maine before posting three goals and three assists in a 17-3 win at Daniel Webster. Over the two game stretch he scored two man up goals and one with the Dolphins a man down. He also picked up the game winning tally against St. Joe’s and finished the weekend with six groundballs.

The two wins over the weekend give Mount Saint Vincent a three game winning streak and improve its overall record to 5-3 on the season. The Dolphins will open Skyline Conference play on Wednesday night when they host Maritime. Opening face-off with the Privateers is slated for 8:00 p.m. at Tibbetts Brook Park.
