7/15/2010 - College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse player Dan Cohen (Ardsley, N.Y.) has been named to the 2010 Jewish Sports Review Division II/III All-America Team it was announced on Thursday morning. In his first season with the Mount, Cohen led the Dolphins in scoring with 45 points. Cohen has become the program’s first ever All-America selection.
5/4/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team has earned the Skyline Conference Team Sportsmanship Award it was announced on Tuesday afternoon. The award voted on by the league’s head coaches goes to the squad who best exemplifies sportsmanship throughout the course of the season.
4/21/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent closed out the regular season on Wednesday night with a 10-4 loss to league rival Richard Stockton. Four different Dolphins scored goals in the game and senior net minder Mike Nuzzi (Westbury, N.Y.) put in a strong effort between the pipes, making 24 saves.
4/19/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team dropped a Skyline Conference contest on Monday night to #18 Montclair St. by a score of 20-4. Mike Visintin (Yonkers, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with two goals, while the Red Hawks featured five players with multiple markers.
4/15/2010 - Four College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse players scored three goals on Thursday night in the Dolphins’ 21-1 win at Bard. The win marks the first ever Skyline Conference victory for the Mount in the program’s history. The win also gives Mount Saint Vincent a program best seven wins in a season.
4/12/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team ended a two game losing skid on Monday night with an impressive 18-8 win over Mount Saint Mary. Six different Dolphins scored at least two goals in the game, with Cavan Valance (Glen Cove, N.Y.) and Mike Visintin (Yonkers, N.Y.) finding the back of the cage three times apiece.
4/10/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team dropped its second straight league contest on Saturday after a 20-6 loss to Kean University. Junior Derek Valance (Glen Cove, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with two goals, while Cavan Valance totaled three points on a goal and two assists.
4/1/2010 - Sophomore attack Rowan Frederick (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished with seven points and junior midfielder Chris Guastamacchia (Goshen, N.Y.) won 19 face-offs as the College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team cruised past Mitchell on Thursday afternoon 15-3. The win is the Mount’s third in its last four contests.
3/27/2010 - Trailing 7-3 after three quarters on Saturday afternoon, the College of Mount Saint Vincent used a furious rally in the fourth quarter that came up just one goal short in a 7-6 loss at Hood. Freshmen Dan Cohen (Ardsley, N.Y.) and Miller Celestin (Brooklyn, N.Y.) each scored two goals and senior goalie Mike Nuzzi (Westbury, N.Y.) made 19 saves for the Dolphins.
3/20/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team snapped a three game losing streak on Saturday afternoon with an 11-9 win at non-conference foe Cazenovia. Four Dolphins recorded at least two points in the contest with sophomore Dan Cohen (Ardsley, N.Y.) leading the offensive attack with five.
3/17/2010 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team had its losing streak extended to three games on Wednesday afternoon with a 15-7 road loss at Misericordia. Junior attack Cavan Valance (Glen Cove, N.Y.) paced the Mount with a pair of goals.
5/4/2009 - College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore Men’s Lacrosse player Mike Shea (Congers, N.Y.) has been named Second Team All-Skyline Conference it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Shea becomes the first player in program history to be honored with a post-season All-Conference award.
4/21/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team was defeated on the road Monday night at Montclair State by a score of 16-2. Brian Zambri (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and sophomore Mike Shea (Congers, N.Y.) tallied the goals for the Dolphins in the contest.
4/8/2009 - College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore Mike Shea (Congers, N.Y.) has been named the ECAC Metro/South Division Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week it was announced on Wednesday afternoon. This is the first ECAC honor that Shea has received in his career.
4/4/2009 - The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team posted an impressive 21-7 win at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine on Saturday afternoon. The Mount had nine different players score a goal and six different players hand out assists, with Mike Shea (Congers, N.Y.) leading the way with eight points in the game.
3/12/2009 - Senior captain Bill Downes (Barkhamsted, Conn.) scored with 9:22 remaining in the fourth quarter to give the College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse squad a 6-5 come-from-behind victory over Hendrix (Ark.) on Thursday night. Freshman Rowan Frederick (Brooklyn, N.Y.) also had a hand in the victory as he scored half of the Mount’s goals in the contest.
