Dotoratos earns the First Team honor after leading the team in assists during his senior campaign. The 5-8 setter handed out 632 helpers over the course of the 2009 season, good for a 9.08 per game average. In the Skyline Championship match against Bard, a 3-1 Mount Saint Vincent victory, Dotoratos handed out 70 assists to go along with three kills and 12 defensive digs. Overall on the season he registered 10 kills and lifted 107 digs.
Pufahl earns First Team All-Skyline Conference accolades for the second time in as many seasons. During the 2009 season he helped guide the Mount to its first ever Skyline Conference Championships and was named the championship’s Mount Valuable Player for his performance. In two matches in the Skyline Tournament, Pufahl registered 27 kills, including 16 against Bard in the final, and a .309 hitting percentage. He also chipped in with seven aces, including six against Yeshiva in the semifinals, seven defensive digs and three total blocks. For the season he was second on the team in kills with 190 and kills per game with 2.21. He also finished the season with 30 aces, 77 digs and 23 total blocks. . He was named the league’s Player of the Week on March 16 following the championship.
Furka was named to the league’s First Team in 2009 after nabbing Second Team honors as a freshman a season ago. He also had a strong Skyline Championship match against Bard, finishing with 14 kills and an impressive .560 hitting percentage. He also posted 12 digs in the contest and three total blocks. Over the course of the 2009 season, Furka was third on the team in kills with 184 and tops in hitting percentage at .296. He also finished second on the team in aces with 33, digs with 173 and total blocks with 57.
Hockenjos earns Second Team All-Skyline honors after a solid all-around season as a junior. Hockenjos finished a match with at least 10 kills on nine occasions and led the Dolphins in the category with 227. He also led the Mount in kills per game with 2.49 and total blocks with 59. For the season he also posted 28 service aces. He was named the Skyline Player of the Week on March 9.
Callahan earns the league’s Coach of the Year honor for the second time in 2009. In just two seasons of Skyline Conference Men’s Volleyball, Callahan has guided the Dolphins to an impressive 14-2 league record, including a perfect 8-0 mark this season. Over the past two years the Dolphins have posted 28 overall victories and his players have earned nine Skyline Conference Weekly Awards.
Thus far in 2009 Mount Saint Vincent stands at 15-13 overall on the season. The Dolphins are awaiting word on a possible ECAC Tournament bid, with the announcement of the tournament field coming on Monday, April 6.
