Hockenjos Tabbed Skyline Men’s Volleyball Player Of The Week
Junior averaged 2.79 kills per game over six matches

Rob Hockenjos earned his first Player of the Week award on Monday.
Lawrenceville, N.J. – College of Mount Saint Vincent junior Men’s Volleyball player Rob Hockenjos (West Hempstead, N.Y.) has been named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week it was announced on Monday evening. Hockenjos helped the Mount to three wins last week, including Skyline victories over Polytechnic and Yeshiva.

Hockenjos totaled five kills in a 3-0 sweep over Polytechnic last Tuesday night and followed that up with a 10 kill effort against the Maccabees two nights later, also a 3-0 triumph for the Dolphins. Over four matches at the MIT Tournament this past weekend, he totaled 38 kills, including 11 kills against Lasell and 10 more in a 3-0 win over Mount Ida.

Overall for the week, Hockenjos was good for 2.79 kills, 1.26 digs and 0.53 blocks per game, as the Mount went 3-3.

Heading into Tuesday night’s home match with New Paltz, Mount Saint Vincent stands at 11-12 overall on the season but owns a perfect 6-0 record in Skyline play. The Dolphins will close out the Skyline slate with matches against Bard and Purchase on Wednesday and Thursday.
