Men’s Lacrosse Selected Sixth In Skyline Preseason Poll

Lawrenceville, N.J. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse team has been picked to finish sixth in the Skyline Preseason Poll it was announced on Friday afternoon. The Mount received five points in the poll voted on by the league’s six head coaches.

Montclair State topped the 2009 Preseason Poll with a total of 23 points, including three first place tallies. Kean, the 2008 Skyline Tournament Champion, was selected second with 20 total points and a pair of first place nods.

Just three points separated third place Maritime from Kean as the Privateers picked up 17 points, while Farmingdale State was picked fourth with 15 points, including one first place vote. Rounding out the field are Richard Stockton in fifth with 10 points and the Dolphins in sixth with their five tallies.

Mount Saint Vincent will open the 2009 campaign on February 28 when they host Alvernia. The game will be played a Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, N.Y. with face-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
