Guerrero hit .208 in the match overall on his way to finishing with a season-high in kills. He also contributed five service aces for the Mount and nine defensive digs. Rookie Matt Krauszer (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) finished the night with eight kills and tied for the team lead in digs with 11.
Sophomore John Furka (Massapequa, N.Y.) posted a solid effort with seven winners, six defensive digs and a block assist in the match, while Rob Hockenjos (West Hempstead, N.Y.) posted six kills and three total blocks.
Senior setter Chris Dotoratos (Bronx, N.Y.) finished the night with a kill, six digs and a match-high 36 assists for the Dolphins and Justin Amaral (Warwick, R.I.) totaled a pair of winners and 11 digs.
NJCU finished the match with two players in double-figures in kills, with Marley Pena-Guzman leading the way with 15 to go along with four digs and four block assists. Kevin Rodgers posted 10 winners for the Gothic Knights and tied the match-high with 12 digs.
The Gothic Knights finished the match with 13.0 total team blocks and were led by Austin Bryant who posted eight in the contest. Bryant also finished with nine digs and three kills in the win.
The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 4-7 overall on the season and to 0-3 in NECVA Metro Division play. Next up for the Dolphins is a road match at Yeshiva on February 12. The match with the Maccabees is set for 8:00 p.m.
