Amanda Costa earned her second weekly award on Monday.

Lawrenceville, N.J.  – College of Mount Saint Vincent freshman Amanda Costa (River Edge, N.J.) has been named Skyline Conference Co-Rookie of the Week it was announced on Monday afternoon. Costa earns the award for the second time this season after picking up three top three finishes at the Skyline Championships on Saturday.

Costa came home with the Mount’s top individual finish of the meet when she placed second in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:21.96. She also recorded a pair of third places finishes at the championship meet, taking third in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:22.33 and the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:03.54.

In addition to the weekly honor, Costa also earned Second Team All-Skyline Conference honors for her second place finish in the 500-yard freestyle.

Costa helped the Dolphins to a fifth place team finish at the meet. Mount Saint Vincent recorded 31 total team points, just one fewer than Maritime who finished fourth. Purchase won the event with 132 points.
