Riverdale, NY – College of Mount Saint Vincent Director of Athletics and Head Baseball Coach Steve Macias has announced the program’s schedule and game times for its spring break trip to Fort Pierce, Florida. The Dolphins will play six games over four days, starting with a doubleheader against Westminster on March 15.

Mount Saint Vincent tussled with the Titans on last year’s trip and dropped the twinbill in heartbreaking fashion; falling 9-8 in the first game and 10-8 in the back end of the set. The following day the Dolphins will meet Utica, who they also met on 2008’s trip. The Mount came away with a doubleheader win, posting 6-1 and 15-1 victories.

On March 17, Mount Saint Vincent will play a split doubleheader, taking on Grinnell out of Iowa at 9:00 a.m. and then meeting Earlham from Indiana at noon. The Mount will round out the trip with a game against Bethany College from West Virginia on March 18.

Mount Saint Vincent is coming off a school record 23 victories last season and the program’s first ever appearance in the Skyline Conference Tournament and the ECAC Metro Division Tournament. The Dolphins will open the 2009 slate on March 4 when they travel to 2007 National Champion Kean.
