Koerner went 6-15 from the field overall in the game and knocked down four three-pointers on her way to the team-high point total. In the last two games Koerner has scored 46 points and made 11 threes.
William Paterson (7-3) never trailed in the game on Thursday and led by as many as 27 points in the second half. The Pioneers were led by April Smith who finished with a double-double, posting 15 points and 12 rebounds. Absatu Mustapha finished with 12 points and seven boards and Julie Haledjian led the way with seven assists in the winning effort.
Courtney Heesemann (New Hyde Park, NY) finished the game with eight points and a pair of rebounds for the Dolphins, while Jen Mocanu (Middletown, NJ) finished the night with seven points and three boards. Junior point guard Lauren Percodani (Staten Island, NY) tallied five points and handed out four assists for the Mount.
Overall in the game, Mount Saint Vincent shot just 32.1-percent from the floor and just 68.8-percent from the free-throw line. William Paterson dominated the boards in the game, finishing with a 51-33 edge in category overall and a 21-12 advantage on the offensive end.
The William Paterson defense also forced 28 Mount Saint Vincent turnovers in the game which led to a 37-21 advantage in points off of turnovers.
The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 4-5 overall on the season. The Dolphins will be back in action again on December 28-29 at the Wesley College Classic in Dover, DE.
