The Department of Mathematics aims to prepare students for further study in mathematics and for careers in related disciplines. It also seeks to develop an appreciation of mathematics as an integral component of a liberal education.

The fourth annual SPUYTEN DUYVIL Undergraduate Math Conference was held on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 in New Paltz. Keynote Address by Dr Richard Askey. Congratulations to two of our students and one faculty member who gave presentations.

The fifth annual SPUYTEN DUYVIL Undergraduate Math Conference is being planned to take place next April at St. Francis College in Brooklyn.
