Communication
The goals of the Communication Department are to provide the opportunity for students:
1. to learn theoretical, critical, and historical approaches to the field of communication and to relate them to humanistic concerns of a liberal arts program;

2. to create and execute concepts in media studies, cinema studies, advertising and public relations, journalism, interpersonal communication, organizational communication, new media technologies, and visual communication by combining theory and practice;
3. to prepare for a professional position in communication through academic coursework, a required internship program, and a senior thesis.
