New for Spring 2010 - Clinical placement expansion for the mid-Manhattan site!
Starting January 2010, the College of Mount Saint Vincent is pleased to announce an expansion of clinical placement space at our mid-Manhattan site for students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
Please note the following requirements for eligible candidates:**
• Application deadline September
1, 2009 (Rolling admissions will continue for students
who will not be clinical ready for the fall)
• Completion of 60 or more credits
• GPA of 3.0
• Completion of the following science
pre-requirements:
o A&P 1 - 3 credits
o A&P 2 - 3 credits
o General Chemistry I (Inorganic Chemistry) - 4 credits
o General Chemistry II (Organic Chemistry) - 4 credits
o Microbiology - 3 credits
The above science pre-requisites if transferred, must be a grade of "B" or better and completed within the last five years.
**These requirements apply to applicants who are 'clinical ready' and meet the above criteria. Applicants to the nursing program are eligible for admission to the nursing program without meeting the noted requirements, however, admitted students who do not meet the above criteria will not be eligible to start clinicals in Spring 2010. Please note that completion of the science pre-requirements is not required for admission to our nursing program but is required to be eligible to begin nursing clinicals.
Students may apply online. There is no application fee when submitting an online application. Please remember that all required application materials must be received by September 1, 2009 to qualify.
