Department of Psychology
The Psychology department emphasizes both the scientific
and the humanistic aspects of psychology. Our major is
designed for students who want to study and understand
human behavior, who want to enter psychology as a
profession or who will use a degree in psychology as
preparation for a variety of careers.

We provide students with the opportunity to:

- learn psychological theories and research strategies
- develop skills in analyzing and applying psychological concepts
- conduct independent studies and research
- explore careers in psychology through internships.

To meet the diverse needs of our students, we offer both B.S. and B.A. degrees, with concentrations in:

- general psychology
- counseling
- developmental psychology
- education
- industrial / organizational psychology
- and health psychology.
