I am delighted to join the Mount as the new Director of Annual Giving. I am excited to lend my skills and experience to an institution that so closely resembles my own alma mater, Hiram College in Northeast Ohio. Both institutions share a commitment to the liberal arts and work to equip students for lifelong citizenship.

It’s wonderful to step back onto a campus like this and recognize the hallmarks of the liberal arts experience: the personal connection between student and professor, the emphasis on critical thinking and an environment that fosters creativity, service and self-discovery.

This commitment to the comprehensive education of the whole person would not be possible without the partnership of alumnae/i and friends. Every accomplishment of our students today is rooted in the generosity of previous generations.

One of my goals as Director of Annual Giving is to communicate this fundamental truth to current students and nurture the culture of philanthropy that lives within the Mount community. Working together, we can strengthen this legacy of giving.
