Costa Named Skyline Swimming Rookie Of The Week
River Edge, NJ native won three events at Old Westbury

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – College of Mount Saint Vincent freshman Amanda Costa (River Edge, NJ) has been named the Skyline Conference Swimming Rookie of the Week it was announced Monday afternoon by the league office. Costa won three individual events in the Dolphins’ 76-59 victory at Old Westbury on December 3.

Costa picked up individual wins against the Panthers in the 50 and 500-yard freestyle events as well as in the 50-yard breaststroke. She won the freestyle events in times of 31.37 seconds and 6:54.54 respectively and picked up the 50-yard breaststroke victory in a time of 38.58 seconds.
With the win the Dolphins evened their overall record at 3-3 on the season and their Skyline Conference mark at 1-1. Mount Saint Vincent will be back in action again on January 17 when it takes part in a Skyline Tri-Meet at Mount Saint Mary with the host Blue Knights at St. Joseph’s-LI. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
