Today, Latin Americans face social, economic, political, and cultural inequality. Because of this, policymakers have stepped in to reshape the status of Latin Americans all over the US. Issues such as stricter immigration laws make it harder for Latin Americans to make a living in America.
“As a new United States administration is preparing to take office, it is especially relevant to examine a number of recent problems and challenges facing the nations of Latin America today,” says Dr. Aliano, Assistant Professor of Foreign Language and History. “It is my hope that this discussion will create a better understanding of Latin America and its relation to the United States as well as help us consider future policy directions and opportunities."
The discussion will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the President’s Reception Room. Refreshments will be served. For more information please contact Dr. Aliano at firstname.lastname@example.org or Professor Palmero at email@example.com.
