In the tournament opener against host Hamilton on Friday, Cooke knocked down four three-pointers and shot 7-14 from the field on his way to an 18 point effort in a 107-93 defeat. Cooke also recorded four rebounds in the contest.
On Saturday in the consolation game, a 97-92 win over Wells, Cooke poured in 25 points to help the Mount to its first win of the season. He connected on 60-percent of his three-point attempts in the game and also contributed four rebounds and an assist.
Overall in the two games Cooke shot 51.7-percent (15-29) from the floor and a red hot 62.5-percent (10-16) from three-point range.
At 1-2 overall in the season, the Dolphins will look to square their record on November 24 when they travel to St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn. Tip-Off with the Bears is slated for 7:30 p.m.
