With a student/faculty ratio of 13:1, Mount Saint Vincent offers one of the most individualized teacher-education programs in the nation. Education students are placed in the field as early as their sophomore year and are observed and guided by experienced faculty. The extensive fieldwork, individualized instruction, and faculty support give students the skills and confidence they’ll need to meet the challenges of today's classroom.

The Mount offers certification programs in elementary, secondary, and special education. Students can widen their career options through our dual certification programs—or earn a bachelor’s and a master’s in only five years. Each teacher-education program at the Mount balances the liberal arts with strong professional development courses and experiences.
