David Guerrero was named NECVA Metro Division Rookie of the Year in 2008.

RIVERDALE, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Volleyball program announced its 2009 game schedule on Wednesday morning. The slate features full Skyline Conference and Northeast Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) schedules, as well as a trip to the MIT Tournament March 7-8. The season gets underway on January 14 at Polytechnic.

After the match with the Blue Jays in Brooklyn, the Mount will open its home schedule the next day against Hunter. After tussling with Hawks, the Dolphins will play six straight matches on the road from January 20-February 5. The extended road stretch will include NECVA Metro Division matches at Stevens and at Ramapo, as well as a Skyline Conference contest at Bard.

The Dolphins will return home on February 9 to face New Jersey City University, before heading back out on the road to face Yeshiva on February 12 and York (NY) on February 14.

Following the York match, Mount Saint Vincent will play six of its next seven matches at Hayes Gymnasium, starting with a match against Bard on February 17. The Dolphins will then host Vassar on February 18, before traveling to Purchase on February 20. After returning the Mount will play four straight at home from February 23-March 5.

After hosting Yeshiva on March 5, the Mount will travel to Cambridge, MA for the MIT Tournament. Upon returning, the Dolphins will host New Paltz on March 10 and Purchase on March 12 to close out the regular season.

The Skyline Championships will be held on March 15 at the highest seed and the NECVA Championships will be held April 3-4. The ECAC Championships are scheduled for April 18.
