Mike Shea is the Dolphins top returning scorer in 2009.

RIVERDALE, NY – College of Mount Saint Vincent Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Dan Mulholland announced the 2009 schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The slate includes five Skyline Conference contests and features 11 home dates, starting with the season opener against Alvernia on March 4.

The Dolphins will open the season with nine straight home games and will play the entire month of March as the home team. Following the season opener, the Mount will host Wells on March 7, Hendrix on March 12, Emerson on March 14 and Misrecordia on March 18. The Dolphins will round out the month hosting Cazenovia on the 21st, Mitchell on the 24th and Green Mountain on the 28th.

April 1 continues the long stretch of home dates, as Mount Saint Vincent will host Bard for a 7:00 p.m. contest. After the stretch of home games, the Dolphins will play two straight on the road, at St. Joseph’s College of Maine on April 4 and then at Daniel Webster on April 5 before returning home to tussle with Maritime on April 8 in the Skyline opener.

Mount Saint Vincent will close the season playing three of its final four regular season contests on the road. The squad will play at Kean on April 15, at Montclair State on April 20 and then at Richard Stockton on April 22 in its final road contest of the season. The Dolphins will wrap up the regular season with a home date against Farmingdale State on April 25.

The 2009 Skyline Tournament will take place on Wednesday, April 29 with the top four teams squaring off in the semifinal round, before the Championship will be held at the higher seed on Saturday, May 2.
