Student Retention
A student may find it necessary to withdraw without completing the degree at the College because of failure to meet the academic requirements of the College or for personal reasons. In compliance with Public Law 101-542, 0The Student Right-To-Know Act,0 the graduation/completion rate for the 2004 cohort is 65.5%. In order to assist students in the realization of their academic and career goals, the College provides the following services: academic advisement, academic and personal counseling, and career development.

The Center for Academic Advisement offers each student the chance to meet with a faculty advisor to discuss choice of courses and formulating long-range plans.

Office of Career Development and Internships provides career counseling, assessment tools, assistance with graduate school selection, resume and cover letter writing, and workshops covering interview and job search training. 

Counseling and Psychological Services Center serves students experiencing personal, family or social difficulties that are interfering with their ability to succeed.

Academic Resource Center is a resource for students who wish to improve their academic skills and ability to manage their time.

TRIO Student Support Services Program (SSS) enhances the academic success of selected low-income, first-generation and/or disabled college students. through comprehensive support services.

BRIDGE (Basic Resources for Individualized Development and Growth in Education) is a voluntary program designed for students who show evidence of potential and motivation to succeed in college but have SAT/ACT scores and/or high school records below normal admission requirements
