9/12/2008 - MORRISTOWN, NJ – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Tennis team was downed on Thursday afternoon at the College of Saint Elizabeth by a score of 7-2. Junior Karen Laurent (Queens, NY) and senior Jessica Lorenzen (Demark, ME) each picked up singles victories in the match for the Dolphins.

After the pair dropped a hard fought doubles match at the second position 8-6, each rebounded for singles wins on Thursday. Laurent was a 10-5 winner at second singles for her first win of the season. Lorenzen came back for a 10-3 win at fourth singles to move her singles record to 3-0 on the season.

The loss, Mount Saint Vincent’s second straight, drops the Dolphins to 1-2 overall on the season. The Mount will be back in action again on Saturday when they return to Skyline Conference action at Bard. The road match is set for 2:00 p.m.
