against Lehman

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Freshman
Courtney McElhone (Wading River, NJ) has
been named the Skyline Conference Women’s Tennis
Rookie of the Week it was announced by the league office on
Monday evening. McElhone posted wins at fifth singles and
third doubles in her collegiate debut last Thursday.

McElhone helped Mount Saint Vincent earn a 5-4 win at Lehman for its initial victory of the season by posting an 8-2 third doubles win along with senior Michelle Kirby (Bloomingdale, NJ) in her first ever collegiate match. She followed that up by posting an exciting 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 win in her singles match to help the Mount to the win.
At 1-0 overall, the Dolphins will open Skyline Conference play Monday night when they travel to Yeshiva. The league match will being at 8:00 p.m.
