Dolphins Picked Tied For Seventh In Skyline Women’s Tennis Pre-Season Poll
Mount Saint Vincent and Yeshiva each receive 19 points

The Mount Saint Vincent Women's Tennis team was picked tied for seventh in the 2008 Skyline Pre-Season Poll.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Head Coach Luise Bethencourt’s Women’s Tennis team has been picked tied for seventh in the Skyline Conference Pre-Season Poll it was announced on Tuesday morning. The Dolphins and Yeshiva each received 19 points in the poll, with Mount Saint Mary leading the way with 62 total points.

Along with their 62 points, the Blue Knights also received six of a possible nine first place tallies. Purchase was chosen second with 56 points and two first place votes, while St. Joseph’s (LI) took the third spot with 51 points and a single first place vote. The rest of the top five includes Bard in fourth with 41 points and Farmingdale State in fifth with 39 points.

Rounding out the field in the poll are Sage in sixth with 29 points, the Dolphins and Maccabees in seventh each with 19 tallies and Polytechnic in ninth with eight points.

Mount Saint Vincent is coming off a 2007 campaign that saw it post six victories. The Dolphins posted a three match winning streak mid-season a year ago and notched Skyline victories over Polytechnic and Yeshiva.

The 2008 season will feature five home matches, including four against Skyline foes. The 16 match slate will begin with five straight road matches, with the season opener coming on September 6 at Lehman.
