Transfer Admissions Checklist

Visit Campus for a tour and interview

Complete the application
Students can apply online either through the Common Application, Universal Application, or CMSV application for free.  If applying with our paper application, students must enclose the $35 application fee.

Send your SAT or ACT scores
If you have earned fewer than 24 college credits, have your SAT or ACT scores sent to the admission office directly from the College Board. Our SAT code is 2088; our ACT code is 2823. You must also have your official high school transcript(s) sent to the admissions office. 

Send your official transcript(s)
Have your institution(s) forward official transcript(s) of your college-level work. If you have attended an international university, please have the transcripts evaluated by World Education Services.

Have a professor or teacher forward a letter of recommendation and Dean's Release Form

Explore financial aid and scholarships.
You'll be considered automatically for merit scholarships when you submit your application. If you're hoping for need-based aid, you should submit the FAFSA (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/) to the federal government sometime soon after January 1. Our FAFSA code is 0002703. 


Program Requirements

Potential transfer students need to have earned a 2.0 grade point average or better in their college-level work.  

Nursing students need a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.

Teacher Education students need a cumulative grade point average of 2.5.

Please note: Any student interested in deferring their enrollment and/or acceptance to an upcoming semester must submit the request in writing to the Director of Admission. The admissions committee will review the request and notify the student of a decision within one month of the request. A student can not defer more than two semesters, or one year, from the original acceptance.
