| Rosanna Falcher was named the new Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Mount Saint Vincent on July 2. |
“We are very happy to add Rosanna to our staff. She will bring both experience and stability to our Women’s Volleyball Program,” said Macias.
Falcher played her college volleyball at Mercy and also competed in the Empire State Games for the Hudson Valley Region from 1993-2000. She also played club ball for the Cosmic Volleyball Club in Jamaica and Creole ‘A’ Team in Queens, NY. Falcher also has international experience, as she played for the Jamaican Under 19 National Team and the Jamaican Women’s National Team.
Following her playing days, Falcher moved into the coaching ranks. Falcher served as the head coach of the Marymount College squad for two years, guiding the team during the 2000 and 2001 campaigns, before becoming an assistant coach for the Hudson Valley team at the Empire State Games from 2001-04. In 2005, Falcher became the head coach of the team and still serves in that capacity.
Falcher has also coached at the Junior College and club level prior to coming to Mount Saint Vincent. She served as an assistant coach at Westchester Community College for two seasons, 2004 and 2005 before taking the head coaching position at WCC in 2006. She also coached the Downstate Juniors Volleyball Club during the 2007-08 season.
A 1996 graduate of Mercy, Falcher earned her MBA from LIU-Brooklyn in 2000 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Student Accounts at the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
Falcher currently resides in Yonkers, NY.
