The Women's Tennis team will open the 2008 season on September 4 at Lehman.

RIVERDALE, NY – The Women’s Tennis program at the College of Mount Saint Vincent announced its 2008 schedule on Wednesday morning. The schedule features four home dates and a full Skyline Conference slate. The Dolphins open the season with five straight road matches, before hosting St. Joseph’s (LI) on September 20.

Mount Saint Vincent will open the season on September 4 at cross town rival Lehman College. After battling the Lightening, the Dolphins will play road matches at St. Elizabeth on September 11, at Bard on September 13, at Sage on September 17 and at the College of New Rochelle on September 19.

After the match with New Rochelle, the Dolphins will alternate home and road contests, until playing four of the final five matches of the year on the road. The Mount will host St. Joseph’s (LI) on September 20 before traveling to Old Westbury on September 23. The Dolphins will then host Polytechnic on September 27 and then travel to Bronxville for a non-conference match with Sarah Lawrence on the 30th.

Following a home match with Mount Saint Mary on October 1, Mount Saint Vincent will again be away from home for an extended stretch when it travels to Kean on October 3, Yeshiva on October 4 and Division II St. Thomas-Aquinas on October 7.

The Dolphins will host Farmingdale State on October 9 in their final home match of the campaign, before closing out the regular season on the road at Purchase on October 11.

The Skyline Conference team tournament will take place on October 14, 16 and 18 this season. A new feature in 2008 will be the Skyline Conference Individual Championships which will take place from October 26-27.
