Senior Shannon Beysel and the Dolphins will open the 2008 season on August 30 against Fontbonne.

RIVERDALE, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Soccer program released its 2008 schedule on Tuesday morning. The slate is highlighted by 10 home games with the first coming on August 30 against Fontbonne (MO). The Dolphins will also square off with Division II St. Thomas Aquinas on the road and will open Skyline Conference play on September 9 at Yeshiva.

The Dolphins will open the season with the game against Fontbonne on August 30 and then will play two straight games on the road, at St. Thomas-Aquinas on September 3 and then at Yeshiva on September 9.

Following the Skyline Conference opener with the Maccabees, the Dolphins will play five straight home dates starting on September 10. On the 10th the Mount will host St. Elizabeth and then after a lengthy lay-off with host CCNY on September 24. After one final non-conference game with Medgar Evers on October 1, the Dolphins will host Skyline rivals St. Joseph’s (LI) on October 4 and Old Westbury on October 7.

After the game with Old Westbury the Dolphins will hit the road to take on Bard on October 15, before playing four of the final five games of the regular season at home. Mount Saint Vincent will host Farmingdale State on October 18, Mount Saint Mary on October 23, Purchase on October 25 and Sage on October 29.

The Dolphins will close out the regular season on November 1 when they travel to Maritime to take on the Privateers.

The top six teams after the conclusion of the regular season will compete in the Skyline Conference Tournament to be held November 4, 6 and 8.
