Lisa O’Shea Named First Team All-Skyline Conference, Dolphins Earn Team Sportsmanship Award

Lisa O'Shea has been named First Team All-Skyline Conference it was announced on Monday.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore outfielder Lisa O’Shea (White Plains, NY) has been named First Team All-Skyline Conference it was announced Monday afternoon. O’Shea is leading the Dolphins with a .384 batting average and six home runs in 2008. In addition to O’Shea’s honor, the Mount Saint Vincent Softball team earned the Skyline Conference Team Sportsmanship Award.

O’Shea has appeared in 36 games in her sophomore campaign and has made 35 starts for the Dolphins. Her .384 average leads the team by 18 points and of her 38 hits, 22 have gone for extra bases.  She has ripped 14 doubles to lead the Mount, to go along with two triples and six long balls. She is second on the team with 36 RBI and tied for third on the team in at-bats with 99. O’Shea has 13 multi-hit games this season to go along with eight multi-RBI games.

The Dolphins fell in the championship round of the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference on Saturday and stand at 19-18 overall on the season. Mount Saint Vincent will take on Baruch on Wednesday in the first round of the ECAC Metro Division Tournament.
