LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Freshman attack Mike Shea (Congers, NY) has been named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week it was announced late Monday. This marks the first time in his career he has been honored and the first time this season a member of the Dolphins has received a weekly honor from the league.

Shea had a big week for the Dolphins, scoring 11 goals and adding five assists for 16 points over three games. He scored three times at Maritime, before scoring five goals at Wells and three more at Green Mountain. At Green Mountain he added four assists to give him a seven point afternoon. For the week, Shea also scooped 10 groundballs for the Mount. 

Mount Saint Vincent swept two games over the weekend to pick up its first two wins of the season. The Dolphins won their first game of the season15-6 at Wells on Saturday, before coming back to earn at 14-3 road win at Green Mountain on Sunday afternoon. At 2-7 overall on the season, the Mount will return to action on Wednesday night when it hosts Skyline foe Richard Stockton. Face-off at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
