LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore outfielder Lisa O’Shea (White Plains, NY) has been named the Skyline Conference Softball Player of the Week it was announced Monday evening. This marks the first time this season and second time in her career that O’Shea has been honored by the league with a weekly award.

O’Shea had a strong week at the plate for the Mount. Overall she went 13-21 for the week, good for a .619 batting average. Of her 13 hits, eight went for extra bases, as she finished the week with six doubles and a pair of home runs. O’Shea also scored eight runs, drove in 12 and stole a base for the Dolphins.

Following a doubleheader loss at Polytechnic on Sunday afternoon, Mount Saint Vincent stands at 13-11 overall on the season and 2-6 in Skyline Conference play. The Dolphins will be back on the field again on Tuesday when they square-off with league foe Russell Sage. First-pitch is set for 3:00 p.m. at Fay Field in Yonkers.
