Dolphins Fall At Cooper Union In HVMAC Opener
Anselmo wins third straight singles match

Mount Saint Vincent dropped an 8-1 decision at Cooper Union on Monday.
FLUSHING, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Tennis team fell on the road at Cooper Union on Monday night by a score of 8-1 in its Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference opener. Junior Phil Anselmo (Bronx, NY) continued his solid early season play by picking up the Mount’s only win at fifth singles.

Anselmo won his third straight singles match on Monday after downing Cooper Union’s Chris Janover 8-2. Anselmo moved his personal record to 3-1 on the season after the win and has played in every singles position except first and fourth so far this season.

The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 0-4 overall on the season and to 0-1 in the HVMAC. The Dolphins will be back in action again on Friday, April 11 when they travel to Sarah Lawrence. The match in Bronxville is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
