Environment Awareness Week At The Mount
Environmental Club Hosts Free Events for Campus Community
4/8/2008 - In an effort to promote Environmental Week (April 6-11) the College of Mount Saint Vincent’s Environmental Club is hosting several free events for the campus community. The group is attempting to better educate students, faculty and staff about environmental concerns and advocate for a greener campus overall.  Solar panels, wind power, eco-friendly facilities and cars are some of the ideas being espoused.  The recycling of more waste materials on campus, not just bottles, and the promoting of healthier diets, are among their goals.  Below is a list of upcoming environmental events:

Sunday April 6th
   Clean Your Campus.
   2 to 4pm meet in Seton Lobby
     (Brought to you by CMSV Environmental Club and Casa Latina)

Monday April 7th
   MTV Environmental Videos
   12pm to 3:30pm Crossroads
     (Brought to you by MTV)

   Inconvenient Truth
   9:30pm Mastronardi Lounge

   Making Flower Pens
   10pm Terrace Lounge

Tuesday April 8th
   Organic Farmers Market
   12 to 3pm Crossroads
     Display of organic and healthier foods and other
     environmentally friendly products
     (Brought to you by Chartwells and Albert's Organic)

   Life After People
   8pm Seton Lounge

Wednesday April 9th
   Guest Speakers
   4pm Presidents Reception
     Lynne Crowley speaker for Al Gore's The Climate Project
