Mount Saint Vincent’s Zach Munroe Named Skyline Conference Baseball Player Of The Week

Zach Munroe was named Skyline Player of the Week on Monday.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – College of Mount Saint Vincent senior Zach Munroe (Milford, CT) has been named the Skyline Conference Baseball Player of the Week it was announced Monday evening. Munroe hit .429 and went 1-0 on the mound for the Dolphins, who posted a 4-1 record in five games.

Munroe had a strong all around week for the Dolphins. He collected two hits, a double and a home run, at Mitchell on Wednesday, before going 3-4 with a double and three RBI in game one of a doubleheader with Maritime on Sunday. Overall for the week, he went 6-for-14 at the plate with four runs scored and nine RBI. Munroe also stole four bases. On the mound, Munroe fired 6.0 effective innings in game two against Maritime, surrendering just one earned run on five hits. He fanned six in the outing. 

Mount Saint Vincent’s four win week moves it to 9-11 overall on the season and to 4-1 in Skyline Conference play. The Dolphins will take the field again on Tuesday and Wednesday at Skyline rival Yeshiva. First- pitch on both nights is set for 7:30 p.m. at Taft High School.
