Martin continued her strong season for Mount Saint Vincent in three wins last week. Martin scored four goals against Western Connecticut and Cazenovia before posting a nine point effort with three goals and six assists at Morrisville on Sunday. For the week, Martin totaled 19 points on 11 goals and eight assists, to go along with a pair of groundballs and three draw controls.
Mitchell had a strong all-around week for the Dolphins in their three wins. She scored at least one goal and had at least one assist in each of the Mount’s three games. She scored three goals against Western Connecticut before finding the back of the cage four times at Cazenovia on Saturday. For the week, Mitchell finished with 11 points on eight goals and three assists. She also picked up six groundballs and won 12 draw controls. Mitchell is currently second in the Skyline Conference in draw controls, averaging 3.56 per game.
Mount Saint Vincent’s sweep last week moves its record to 4-5 overall on the season. After a game at The College of New Jersey on Tuesday night, the Dolphins will open Skyline Conference play at Maritime on Thursday evening.
