Men’s Tennis Drops Skyline Match At St. Joseph’s (LI)
Anselmo wins second straight singles match
4/7/2008 - PATCHOGUE, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Tennis team fell on the road at Skyline rival St. Joseph’s (LI) on Saturday by a score of 8-1. Junior Phil Anselmo (Bronx, NY) won his second straight match in the contest, winning at sixth singles.

Anselmo took the win in the sixth position with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over St. Joseph’s Mikko Tesalona. With the win, Anselmo moves his overall record to 2-1 in singles competition through the season’s first three matches.

The loss drops the Mount to 0-3 overall on the season and to 0-2 in Skyline Conference matches. Mount Saint Vincent will return to action for a Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference match on Monday, April 7 at Cooper Union. The match is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
