The Director of Residence Life is responsible for all co-curricular matters pertaining to residence students and oversees the functioning of the residence halls.  He/She selects, trains and supervises the residence hall staff, counsels students, and enforces college and residence hall regulations and policies.  He/She oversees all room rentals, vacation housing and the administration of room and hall damages.  The Director of Residence Life is the chief liaison between the residents and the Vice President for Student Affairs, and works closely with the Food Service, Housekeeping, Campus Safety and Maintenance staffs. 

The Resident Director (R.D.) reports to the Director of Residence Life, supervises a staff of Resident Assistants and is responsible for fostering a growth-oriented living environment and a sense of community in his/her residence hall.  The R.D. acts as a communication link between his or her building and the Office of Residence Life.  He or she also ensures that college regulations are adhered to, provides leadership in emergency situations and assists the staff and students with programming.

The Resident Assistant (R.A.) is the chief liaison between the Office of Residence Life and the students, and is the most visible representative of the Dean of Student Affairs Office. He or she is a carefully selected and trained Junior or Senior who is responsible to know and be available to residents, to assist them with academic, social, and personal problem solving, and to act as a referral source.  The R.A. enforces College and residence hall regulations, provides leadership in emergency situations, assists students in living together with concern and consideration for one another and facilities and implements residence hall programming.

The Resident Leader (R.L.) is a student who assists the Residence Life Staff in various ways. Some of his/her responsibilities include assisting the R.D. of their building with the apperance of the lobby and promoting topics, such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Woman's History, Black History, and Drug and Alchohol Awareness.  Resident Leaders work closely with R.A.'s,  assisting in programming and desk coverage, serving as student fire marhsalls during drills and emergency situations.  Resident Leaders coordinate monthly Residence Life discussion groups with students to address issues pertaining to the Residence Halls and campus life.
