Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 USD Per Year


Summary of Position
To identify, support, and develop creative solutions to the needs of the College using the available technological resources in the College environment. Working under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Computer Services, this person will be responsible for the maintenance of many of the administrative computing systems at the college. Additionally, the candidate will have some responsibility in supporting the college web sites.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide courteous, responsive service to the College Community
• Coordinate the implementation of solutions that integrate multiple hardware and software technologies in a networked environment
• Develop and maintain interfaces between multiple administrative applications
• Use SQL and Oracle tools to develop reports on an ad hoc basis
• Learn the internals of the Sunguard SCT Banner Administrative software packages to support the College Community
• Be Proficient in the use of Microsoft operating systems and the Office Suite of programs
• Troubleshoot problems with applications and processes
• Perform administrative tasks of a more technical nature
• Comply with College computing standards
• Document all projects and share information with other team members and administrators
• Working with the Public Relations department and the Network manager, Administer the College web sites and Content Management system
• Using web programming skills with tools such as ASP, CGI, Pearl, PHP, SQL, Javascript, CSS, XML, XSLT, HTML, DHTML, Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc., create, test, debug and maintain web pages.
 
Requirements
Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years web or programming experience required.
Knowledge of Banner, Oracle and SQL programming is a plus.  Enthusiasm for learning new tools in new computing environments is important.  Candidate must be able to work closely with a wide range of people with varying skill levels and have good communication skills.
