Lisa O’Shea named HVWAC Softball Player of the Week
Sophomore led Mount Saint Vincent in season opener

 Lisa O'Shea earned the first HVWAC Player of the Week award of the season on Tuesday.
RIVERDALE, NY – College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore Lisa O’Shea (White Plains, NY) has been named the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week it was announced on Tuesday afternoon. O’Shea and the Dolphins opened the 2008 season on Sunday with a doubleheader loss to Medaille in Stuart, Florida.

O’Shea hit an even .400 over two games last week, the Mount’s first action of the season. O’Shea went 2-3 with two runs scored in the second game of a doubleheader with Medaille on Sunday. For the week, O’Shea would also draw a walk and went 2-2 in stolen base chances. 

Earlier this afternoon, O’Shea led the Dolphins to their first win of the season with a double, home run, three runs scored and three RBI.

At 1-5 overall on the season, Mount Saint Vincent will open its home schedule on March 25 against Lehman. The doubleheader is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. at Fay Field.
