David Guerrero has been named the Skyline Rookie of the Week for the fourth time.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – College of Mount Saint Vincent freshman David Guerrero (East Meadow, NY) has been selected as the Skyline Conference Men’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week it was announced on Tuesday afternoon. This marks the fourth time this season that Guerrero has been honored by the league with a weekly award.

Guerrero helped the Dolphins to a 3-1 record and to the championship game of the inaugural Skyline Conference Tournament last week. The rookie outside hitter posted 70 kills over four matches to go along with 11 service aces and 42 digs. For the week, Guerrero averaged 5.38 kills per contest and 3.32 digs. He posted 31 winners against Polytechnic in the semifinals of the Skyline Tournament on Sunday and followed that up with 17 kills and 11 digs in the championship match again Bard.

The loss in the final closed out the Mount’s season at 13-15. Guerrero finished the season as the team leader in kills with 341 (3.92 K/game), service aces with 53 and points with
