Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, NJ) continued to swing a hot bat for the Dolphins, as he went 2-4 with a run scored on Monday night. Al Schor (Norwalk, CT) and Tanner Munroe (Milford, CT) also picked up a pair of hits for the Mount. Schor and Munroe each also scored a pair of runs with Munroe driving in a run as well.
Senior Logan Mauzy (Homer, NY) went 1-5 in the contest but drove in a pair of runs in the win, while Zach Munroe (Milford, CT) scored twice for the Dolphins.
Jon O’Leary (Bohemia, NY) made his second start of the season for the Mount and worked 6.2 innings in a no decision. O’Leary surrendered eight hits and allowed four runs, with only one being earned on Monday. He walked two and fanned seven in the outing.
Nate Todd (Holyoke, MA) got the win in relief after working a third of an inning and not allowing an earned run. Blackford picked up his second save of the season after getting the final out on a come backer in the ninth.
The win moves the Mount to 4-2 overall on the season. The Dolphins will close out the Florida trip on Tuesday afternoon with a doubleheader with Westminster (PA). First pitch in Ft. Pierce is set for 12:00 p.m.
