Commuter Life
The commuter student is a vital member of the College
community. Involvement in student life can be a challenge
for the commuter who is often dealing with the pressure of
a part time job and family obligations. The College
encourages commuters to avail themselves of on-campus
employment opportunities as well as all campus resources
with the hope that they participate fully in and contribute
to campus life.
The Director of Student Activities is the member of the Office of Student Affairs staff responsible for all co-curricular matters pertaining to commuters: counseling and referral of individual students, research on commuter needs and the development of out-of-class programs geared to meet those needs. The Student Activities office also also coordinates the scheduling of all other co-curricular activities, such as the Commuter Luncheon Series and Monday Morning at the Mount.
